We are here to serve the Transgender community; what you would like to know about, have discussion on as well as have guest speakers to talk about, is a major concern of ours so we can better serve you. It’s October; nights are getting longer and colder. Summer is gone and we will soon be into the holiday season. With the increasing darkness and the end of daylight savings time it is getting easier to go out dressed enfemme and not be seen by nosy neighbors.
I recently attended the new Angela’s Laptop Lounge at Jannies near Royersford, PA. There were about 20-30 t-girls and admirers there, which wasn’t bad for the first time. I am still planning to provide the opportunity for dinner before our York meetings. Does anyone have any ideas where we might be able to go for cocktails at 6:00 or 6:30 and a reasonably priced dinner? If you have any suggestions, please let me know and I will contact the restaurant to be sure we will be accepted.
I love Halloween! Parties! Costumes! Some of us even refer to this time of year as “Bitch’s Christmas”. If you are a crossdresser this is a perfect time of the year. It is a fact that more CDs come out in public during Halloween than any other time of the year. No one will question why you are dressed enfemme for a party. Also you can buy women’s clothing, makeup, heels, wigs, and etc without having to make an excuse such as this is for my wife or sister or whatever. I am looking forward to our Halloween Party at the York meeting. We also have been invited to another Halloween party after the meeting.
Several of us are planning on attending the PA Renaissance Faire at Manheim on Sunday, October 11 in period costume. I have done this before and always had a fantastic time. In the past, I have dressed as a sorceress, witch, wench, and even as a winged dark angel for their Halloween spooktacular.
If you have never been to the Renaissance Faire it is truly a unique experience. The grounds of the Mt Hope winery become an Elizabethan shire replete with knights, nobles, peasants, pirates, scoundrels, many shops and merchants and of course the Queen and her court. All of the characters speak in olde English and it is great fun to interact with them. At times the fairgoers have mistaken my friends and me as part of the cast. There are many activities, shows, and lots of food. It’s a lot of fun and a great opportunity to participate crossdressed with the denizens of the shire. If anyone is interested in joining us at the Faire please let me know.
There is a new therapist for the Transgender community in the Lancaster area.

She has an office in Malvern, PA and recently opened another office in Lititz. She wants to help answer any questions you may have regarding gender identity and make the road to transition for those so inclined less rocky.

Happy Halloween
Just my thoughts
Well, it is the month of Spooks and Goblins, Ghost and Monsters and the most favorite time of year for Crossdressers like me and probably you. I love Halloween, it gives me a chance to go out dressed enfemme and not have to worry about what people think. I can be me, go to the store, take a drive, sit out side on my porch, visit a relative and much more all dressed up enfemme and I can say hey, how do you like my costume. I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands just like me who love this time of year. I'm sure you do, for the same reasons I do. Heck, you can even dress in front of your wife and say, "hey honey how do you like my costume" and get away with it and she will not suspect a thing ..... Isn’t it wonderful when you can just be you and not worry about what others are
saying about you behind your back .... TRICK OR TREAT ...... Then again, isn't it a shame we have to live like this, looking forward to this time of year just so we can be who we really are ... but hey, I'm not even going to get into that. I am looking forward to going to Halloween parties dressed gorgeously enfemme in several costumes. I'm not just going
to dress on Halloween night but whenever I can just so I can go outside and travel and just be me.
I bet there are many more here locally who are just as supremely happy as me about it being Halloween so we can go do the things we normally would not be able to do as our feminine or masculine selves. We have all sorts of activities we can do being ourselves at the party and also from now on at our meetings. We have been able to acquire a pool table, a ping-pong table, and hockey table, unfortunately it is not an air hockey table (yet), but works just as well. No more sitting around the table being bored listening to others.
Of course listening to others talking about their experiences is a great thing because we learn by listening and by others experiences but if you do not wish to listen to stories you have already heard and benefited from you can now go play pool (Billiards), play Ping Pong, go outside and sit around and enjoy being outside in a safe and secure atmosphere. Even gather around in a little group or with a single person and have a nice chat about all subjects interesting to you and your partner. You can even dance the night away if you want to. Heck, we have a very large dance floor area and you can dance to your favorite music. We have entertained the idea that having a variety of activities to offer will make meetings and Transgender get together's more exciting and enjoyable.
At our meetings we will always offer Transgender support and education to those who are seeking it and come to meetings just for that purpose. After all support and education about Transgender issues is what we are all about. But, you do have those Transgender Individuals who are not seeking support or education and are just looking to have a relaxing time doing activities as their preferred gender. We are trying to supply the Transgender Community with as much help, support and time to just be themselves. We thing that offering as many activities as we can will help those who are just looking for a place to go to just be who they really are and enjoy being out somewhere besides at a Transgender meeting.
When we have special programs the other activities will not be available during programs. Our programs are designed to help supply the information needed to be your desired gender self . Our speakers are invited to discuss Transgender issues and offer their help with information and guidance in Transgender subjects such as Hormone guidance and presenting ones self as female or male in a public place, or how to apply makeup to present ones self as feminine in public ..... with many other programs being put together.
One new program we are putting together is a program for Female to Male individuals. We are establishing a separate meeting for Female to Males just for them and once it is going and there are enough members they will elect their own officers from their membership and have their own treasury. We are still working on this so we can offer more needed programs and support and could use the help of other Female to Male individuals to make this something very important and helpful in the community for the F to M community. As far as I know there is not very much out there locally for this community right now and we want to change that for these wonderful people. Once this program gets going it will become a separate group and organization all of their own ....
Well, since it is the Halloween month ... BOO .... I hope to see some of you at our big Halloween party. Do you think you have a costume that will win our best costume prize? The prize is $25.00 to the best costume winner who will be judged by everyone by secret ballots. If there is a tie then another secret ballot will determine the winner. Fall Achievement Benefit Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Lancaster County Convention Center and Marriot at Penn Square, Lancaster, PA.
This will be a gala “Black Tie optional” event and is open to all in the transgender community. The event will benefit The LGBT Community center of central PA and Common Roads. The Rose Board has discussed having a movie night a couple times a year as a meeting program of which I think is a great idea myself. So ... as of now our schedule for our May meeting will be a movie night. We will have a Large Screen TV , at least a 50 inch viewing screen to view the movie which will be either a Projection or Plazma TV. This way it will feel like your in a movie theater and no one will be straining their eyes to see the movie. So bring your popcorn or enjoy our snacks and of course enjoy the movie. We will announce the title of the movie near the end of April.
