Family Programs
We are open to families of Transgender individuals both adult and children 5 days a week for family members to come in and get answers to questions, seek help, guidance and support. If we cannot answer your questions we will guide you to a professional who can help you.

Program 1.  Social get together for Parents raising Transgender children.

The Office will set up a program for Parents raising Transgender Children to come in to the Office and discuss any issues that may arise with their Transgender Children and / or direct them to Professional Counseling

This program will bring the Parents of Transgender Children together in one location that will be private and safe and secure to meet and get to know each other and discuss your experiences raising your Transgender child or children. You will have the opportunity to discuss problems that may have occurred raising your child with other parents who may have had the same problems happen while raising their children.

You will also have the opportunity help other parents who may be having problems and issues raising their transgender child to help make their experience raising their child easier and gain more knowledge about raising Transgender children.

A Transology Officer will be present to help with discussions and over see the social get together. Peer support with others raising Transgender children can be very helpful and supportive.

Program 2.  Spousal Support ... Helping the Wife or Husband of their Transgender spouse to better
                                               understand why their spouse is Transgender

This program is designed to help wives and husbands better understand their Transgender spouses and help explain why their spouse is Transgender and / or direct them to Licensed Professional Counseling.

This program will provide a location where wives or husbands of Transgender spouses can get together and support each other by discussing how they support their spouse or handle issues or needs that often come up in a relationship with a Transgender spouse. Peer support often helps in many aspects of Transgender issues.

A Transology Association Officer will also be in attendance to over see the social get together and answer questions or direct those needing professional help to Licensed Professional Counselors

Program 3 ... Transgender Parents (Parents that are Transgender raising Children)

The Office will set up a program for Transgender Parents to come in and discuss any issues that may arise while raising their children / or direct them to Professional Counseling. W

We will also set up a program so that Transgender Parents can get together at a social get together and discuss and help each other by discussing any problems or issues that have occurred because their Transgender raising their children.

Program 4 .... Transgender Children Support Group .....

The York Office will offer a social group get together where Transgender Children can get together from all over York and surrounding areas and meet each other and share each others experiences.  Transgender Children 14 to 18 can get together in a room just for them and their parents. There they can get to know each other and discuss their fun times and their not so good times sharing each others experiences.

Transgender Children 13 and under can meet in a separate room with their parents. There they can meet each other and become friends and stay in contact and share their fun times with their parents over seeing the group.

A Transology Association Officer will be in attendance to over see the social get together and answer questions or provide information to a professional Licensed Counselor for Transgender Children if asked for professional help and guidance.

Parents of Transgender School Students can come to our office to seek help and guidance in School related Transgender student affairs.

The Office will also set up a program for Parents of School Students to be able to attend a Social Get Together to  discuss  Transgender related issues that may arise in the school and / or for their Transgender students.
